É a Weindorf - A Festa do Vinho.

The projects of preservation of the historical and architectural patrimony, base mainly on the protection of the old houses, that were built with German characteristics in the majority.
The House of Culture Marcelo Grassmann, tumbled by Condephaat, it is a typical German chalet, built in two pavements, and the superior is all made of wood.
Theatro Carlos Gomes, built by the Germans in 1888 it is a response of memory of important theatre of Germany.
It is a small building, with skyboxes and gallery, it was illuminated to the gaz acetylene and the external lateral walls, the subsequent and the covering of flandres leaves.
It became " Cine Theatro Carlos Gomes " in the end of the century XIX.
In the beginning of the twenties, the Theater was in a bad situation, due to the collected taxes, it was not possible to Grassmann to make improvements, it was of this date in before, that the same began to lose the principal characteristics. Going by a great reformation in 1926, already with Achiles Reinhardt's direction and with aid of the City hall. The lateral walls of flandres were substituted by bricks. Many remember the wonderful painting draws that disappeared at that time. In 1930 they were retired the banches and replaced with individual armchairs of wood.
In the second half of the fifties, there was the accomplishment of the great Festivals. Great shows were presented by São Simão's people that filled the Theater. It didn't last a long time, soon Cine Oásis was inaugurated and Carlos Gomes' old building was closed. It reopened again almost in the seventies and sooner was closed again. It was reopened in 1979, " recuperated ", it had not accomplished his project in the complete, in an attempt of saving the gotten money. Due to your use and the works accomplished badly previously, it deteriorated, the infiltration took over the walls, of the flagstones that it forced to be interdicted in the beginning of 1997 by total lack of safety. A great popular party happens annually and it is accomplished in the second fortnight of July, it honors the German immigrants. It is Weindorf - the Party of the Wine. A party with eaten typical, folk dances and a lot of wine.
The first mother church, that had been built of wattle and daub, was in ruins and for superior determination it should be built other. D. Lino Deodato Rodrigues of Carvalho, Bishop Diocesano of São Paulo, in June of 1886 when here it was in Pastoral visit, it interdicted the Head office and it threw the fundamental stone of the New Head office beside the one that it existed.
He thought the most appropriate land for a great construction as the one of a Head office, was it on the right side of the stream, of red and firm earth. While the one of the left margin was sandy and weak. Besides, the center of the village, that is, the most populated part was the one on the right side of the stream, where it had been built the Head office that was in ruin. It recommended by Bishop Don Lino in that occasion, that if it built the Head office beside the Old, taking advantage leaves of the foundation that was solid, with the lateral tower - on the right side. Perhaps in the book Tumble it has not been very clear or later he decided to move the place, the fact it is that the new Head office was built it about 200 meters for before in south direction, with central tower and not more obeying the sense north-south, but therefore " with the front to the side of the station ".
On, 13th April of 1887 the Commission of Works of the New Head office signed contract for construction with the contractors: Vicente Blumi, Luiz Rocco, Manoel José Alves Were the engineers responsible for the works and the author of the plant was Dr. José Maria Gregório, so the construction was begun in the middle of the year of 1887.
The walls of the church are well reinforced, of almost a meter of thickness, almost all of stone; stone removed in a large part of a quarry, that existed in the high of the 7th September street corner with the street of the quarry, (today Augusto Paulino Gouveia), and it leaves, of stone nr.9 coming of Itú city. It is of noticing that the Head office is built on a quarry. Perhaps it has been this the reason of the place change. The contract of towing the church was made by Luiz Rocco, with the Municipal Chamber, on 30th November of 1.889 and ratified in February of 1890. He presumes that the construction has finished in 1891, for, in the session of the Municipal Chamber of 22nd July, it was read Luiz Rocco's " request so that it was made inspection and payment, because the works were ended ".
The New Head office was blessed and inaugurated on 3rd February of 1892, with great solemnity, several priests' attendance and great number of followers, for occasion of São Benedito's party. On this same day, as part of the solemnities, " Apostolates of Jesus " Sacred Heart was installed.
The First clock placed in the tower, it was to 6th January of 1.896 - " a public " regulator - acquired for popular subscription. That regulator, was the clock. It was placed soon below the steeple and it just had a face. For occasion of the reform of the Head office in 1956 and modification of the tower, a new clock was placed, above the bells, with 4 illuminated faces. The altar-mor of the Head office, of wood, imitating the marble very well, with the high-reliefs covered of sheets of gold, it was always reason of pride for São Simão's Catholics. It is, in fact, a work of art in with a high level. On November 13, 1898(sunday), with great solemnity, he was a Benedictine monk and inaugurated, having sung mass, preaching, soon after, the Rvmo. Cônego Ezechias da Fontoura Galvão, Capitulate Vicar, that come especially for the solenity.
The altar is the sculptor's work by Marino Del Fávero, from São Paulo, whose work, in the occasion, it was compared with the one of the Cathedral of Campinas. In March of 1900, at the request of Manager Antônio Cassiano Nogueira, the Company of Electricity of São Simão it granted gratuitously for the Head office the placement of a lamp of 32 candles " that will work whenever there is religious ceremony at night ".
A lamp didn't only solve the problem of the illumination and perhaps for being more expensive the electric system, in May of 1904 the illumination was inaugurated the gas acetylene. In each column 2 gas beaks were placed, besides other in several points of the church.
In the reform of the church in 1.925 was abolished the illumination definitively the carbureto, being only the electric, the church received beautiful and artistic painting executed by artists Benedito Calixto and of Italian Cercelli and by tiles.
The largest reform perhaps has been her accomplished in 1.912. On this occasion it was made the chapel of Sacred Sacrament, sacristy, deposit for the gasometer(for illumination), painting of the churchyard, 3 doors of iron of 2,50 meters of height made by the Foundry of Grassmann, grating in the tower, vitraux and other improvements.
